Actors to Filmmakers

Maybe the easiest transition up the ladder is to start in front of the camera. I, for one, have noticed that several of our famous black talent started as actors and are now behind the camera. Bill Duke, Spike Lee, (off and on), Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, and Forest Whittaker, just to name a few. The quality of these talented group of actors transcends to the screen with that "wang chung" if you will, that makes the box office burst. Tyler Perry wears these hats in a way that no one can. I am truly proud to be committed to a field of entertainment that brings so much to so many. Bravo.
